Mick Foley’s Cheap Pops

Last night I had the distinct pleasure of attending the WWE Network Taping of Mick Foley’s Cheap Pops at Full Sail Live. Unlike many of those in attendance I’ve actually had the privilege of seeing Foley perform in this capacity before and he never disappoints.

NXT host Greg Hamilton served as the host for the night. He first introduced Jim Ross who opened with a shorter version of his show, Ringside with Jim Ross. This segment lasted roughly 30 minutes and consisted of stories from Ross’ tenure in the business as well as a short Q&A portion to conclude his portion of the show. During Ross’ performance, the Foley family (sans Noelle) made their way to the front row of chairs to watch the event.

After Ross’ completed his performance, he introduced Noelle Foley to the crowd. Noelle made her way onto the stage and introduced her father, Mick Foley. The Hardcore Legend and WWE Hall of Famer arrived and slayed the audience with his unique and original brand of comedy. Foley performed for over an hour regaling the audience with amazing stories and concluding with a Q&A segment. Foley’s son, Hughie, also participated in the performance.

Mick Foley is pretty pretty pretty good. #CheapPops

Prior to the event, I assumed Foley would use lots of material from the last time I saw him perform (seeing as the special was being filmed for the network) however this was not the case. Foley did an incredible job of keeping his content fresh, relevant, and extremely entertaining. I can’t say enough about Foley and his performance and I highly encourage you all to tune in and enjoy this awesome special when it airs this Wednesday, April 29th, 2015, on the WWE Network.

Bang! Bang!
